Secure Diagnostic Imaging has been at the forefront of tele-ophthalmology research for the past 6 years.  The primary focus has been the identification of treatable diabetic retinopathy with tele-ophthalmology.  More recently research has focused on both macular degeneration and glaucoma.  A comparison between digital stereoscopic imaging and slide film in the identification of treatable macular degeneration has now been completed and will be submitted for publication shortly.  Research with stereoscopic digital imaging for glaucoma is beginning.
